Risk Management Basics
Professionally trained risk managers are an asset to any healthcare organization. However, managers responsible for risk management often come from other disciplines and lack the experience and risk management-specific training they need to handle challenges across the continuum of care. Based on the guidance ECRI has been providing for more than 40 years, Risk Management Basics courses can help those new to risk management or anyone seeking to sharpen their skills. Covering all care settings, the online program provides a common foundational understanding of the essential elements of risk management: risk identification, analysis, and mitigation, including the importance of establishing a culture of safety and following up on reported adverse events.
