Andrew Furman

Andrew Furman, MD, MMM, FACEP

Andrew Furman is an emergency medicine physician who has worked in clinical and leadership roles in Pennsylvania and Oregon. He served as a quality and communications consultant within the Geisinger Health System, acting as a liaison between the closed model of care delivery at Geisinger and the more open models of care delivery in newly acquired hospitals and health systems. At Salem Health, in Salem, Oregon, he served as Vice President of Medical Affairs. After completing a Master of Medical Management degree at University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, he joined Accolade in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. While at Accolade, Dr. Furman supported the organization’s mission to equip employees of self-insured companies with the people, tools, and technology that empowered them to better navigate the complicated healthcare environment.

Mike Cohen

Michael R. Cohen, RPh, MS, ScD (hon.), DPS (hon.), FASHP

President, ISMP

Dr. Cohen’s passion for medication safety began in 1974 when he was involved in a serious adverse event with insulin in the hospital where he was employed. He immediately saw the value in sharing his story with other hospital pharmacists to prevent the same error from occurring. Dr. Cohen founded ISMP in 1994 and launched the first of five ISMP Medication Safety Alert! publications in 1997. The newsletters, along with Safety Alerts, now reach more than one million health professionals in the U.S., as well as regulatory authorities and others in more 30 other countries.

Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital

Kevin Hansen, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCSCP is Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dr. Hansen provides leadership and operational oversight for pharmaceutical compounding and pharmacy perioperative services. He serves as the Residency Program Director for the Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency program. In addition, Dr. Hansen serves as adjunct faculty for the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

Jason Launders

Director of Operations, Device Evaluation, ECRI

Jason Launders has been at ECRI since 1998, and is currently the Director of Operations for the Device Evaluation group. Jason’s primary responsibility is managing ECRI’s laboratory-based evaluations of medical technologies. Jason has an MSc in Medical Physics and spent his earlier time at ECRI evaluating a wide range of diagnostic imaging technology, such as: CT, MRI, PACS, and Digital Radiography. Today, he is responsible for developing the content of evaluations to ensure they meet the needs of our members.

Kristina Cybularz

Kristina Cybularz

Manager, SupplyGuide – Supply Chain Services, ECRI

Kristina Cybularz is the manager of supply chain services and has been with ECRI for more than eight years. After several years of managing ECRI’s recall management solution, Kristina now manages the Functional Equivalent solution, which provides alternative purchase solutions for members. Kristina manages a team of Medical Supply Specialists who compile custom reports and category development to support members and to grow product offerings. She is a proud alumna of Penn State University, where she graduated with a concentration in Political Science and Health Policy.

Juuso Leinonen

Juuso Leinonen

Senior Project Officer, Device Evaluations, ECRI

Juuso performs comparative hands-on medical device evaluations and investigates medical device related problems. Juuso is currently ECRI's lead subject matter expert on medication delivery and pharmacy technologies. He has tested and evaluated most of the currently marketed infusion devices in the U.S. and assisted a number of healthcare facilities with technology selection/procurement projects.
