Video | UV Disinfection vs. Hydrogen Peroxide in the COVID-19 Era
Since the onset of the global SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, reducing the transmission of healthcare-associated infections has become even more important. Cleaning and disinfecting are critical to reducing the risk of transmission, but is there another step that hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and skilled nursing facilities can take?
In this recording, ECRI’s infection prevention and health device experts compare how ultraviolet (UV) and hydrogen peroxide vapor (HPV) eliminate SARS-CoV-2, norovirus, multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs), and other pathogens. This webinar focuses different technologies, implementation and operational considerations, and strategies for safe and effective use of each technology.
