Video | New Evaluation: Advanced Wound Care Dressings

Overview

While treating and preventing patient wounds is an essential part of patient care, it is also a difficult one. If a patient has complex wounds that cannot heal with typical treatment, they may require more advanced treatment in a healthcare setting. However, there are many options available for advanced wound care, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, debridement, revascularization, bioengineered skin substitutes, and compression therapy.

Join our expert Device Evaluation team and leaders from Aging Services as they share details on the advanced foam dressings currently being evaluated in our independent medical device evaluation lab, the only one of its kind in the world.

Learning Objectives

During this lab webcast, we will discuss:

  • Wound care options for acute and long-term patients
  • Clinical issues related to treating patient wounds
  • ECRI's evaluations of advanced foam dressings
